Protect your piece. Apply makeup, perfume and hair spray before putting on your jewelry, and do not wear your piece in a swimming pool as chlorine can damage it. You can cleanse your jewelry by creating a solution of slightly warm water and dish soap and gently rubbing the solution over your piece with a baby soft toothbrush.
